Sometimes I wonder what the main thing is that can pull us out of the misery we sometimes found ourselves in. What is it that keeps us going? Well, naturally, I’d say it’s spirituality. That’s also the reason why I got into it so much a few years back. But what is it exactly about spirituality that’s so healing? Personally, I would say that it’s mainly a huge pile of realizations that form an identity for us, something we can lean on when life get’s hard.
And where do we learn these realizations? Basically, the answer is life, but it’s a bit of a simple one, to be honest. I have said before that life is a school that we come to to learn a few things and when we’re done we leave again and go home. That’s the whole point of living this life. But when we open our eyes to look around and truly take life in, with all the experiences it has to offer, we might sometime understand that life is a huge gift. And usually we only see that when it’s about to end.
About suffering
The life we’re living currently is one that we chose for ourselves. Our higher self, our soul, knows why we chose it, why this one is a really good one for us, given our ‘skillset’, goals, abilities, maturity, etc. Some of us have harder lives than others, but all suffer from something. And at the end, it’s the suffering that brings us closer to the universe and to our higher goals.
About the probability of being born
I know that what I’m about to write is so much easier said than done, but it’s really true. When you don’t like the way you look for example – and our looks are a huge determination of the quality of our lives – you need to understand a few things. The body you have will grant you exactly the experiences you need to make. And if they’re bad ones, then that’s what you really need in this life, and your higher self knows it. Let’s look at the chances of you being able to live in this body, shall we. For this, I’m gonna quote something I saw in a video that left me speechless: (For reference, the account’s called the.inner.method)
And, by the way, that’s what I mean with life is a school. Throughout our lifetimes we encounter so many people, quotes, songs, pieces of art, literature, opinions, conversations, jokes, notes, information, videos, etc. Essentially, we are a product of those little things that impact us on a daily basis. Some little thing you heard somewhere might have changed your opinion on something so much that it impacted you for the rest of your life.
About pain
So, even if you’re in a painful stage in your life right know… If you were left, hurt or betrayed by someone, if you lost something that’s important to you… Embrace this period of time. It won’t last forever. You will have so many other things to look forward to. And you’ll learn so much on that journey you’re on right now. One day you will look back and you’ll understand what you had to go through to get to that point where you eventually ended up. You will recognize the value all of those experiences brought to you. And you won’t want it any other way. You’ll see… <3
That’s how that quote ended, by the way. I hope it’s just what you needed to hear today. And before you go, I found another video with the same style. I won’t quote it all, but it said…
– Having been born is a miracle. It could have been 40 million others that could have been born instead of you. But it was you. Life’s gonna end. And the problem is, what do you spend your time doing? What are you spending the miracle of having been born on? It could be that you spend your life working and buying things until you’re old and wrecked. But you never paid with money. You buy the things with the time it took you to earn that money. But the time you have in this life won’t come back…

Don’t waste your time not liking who you are or what you look like. Figure out how to not be afraid of the future. Seek help if you need it. Learn to enjoy the little moments. Appreciate what’s in front of you. And what’s already behind. Because those things will stay in your head and heart and make you who you are and who you are meant to be. And whatever that is… you’re always good enough!
Thank you for hanging out.
Lots of love, Valentina <3
