I have always found manifesting to be such an interesting, yet challenging concept to understand. When I first heard and then learnt about it, I was all in. Although, with time I found it more and more difficult to understand how it really worked. Especially, since there’s soo much info out there, some of it a little contradicting, that I stopped actively seeking information about how to do it right. Do you feel me?
The confusing part of manifesting
What was so confusing to me is that some say you have to really see something in your mind, over and over again, and so you’ll attract it.
Other said it’s crucial to manifest it once and then just let it go and never think about it again. It’s like ordering food in a restaurant, once you ordered it, it’s already on its way to you, no need to go ask for it again.
Well, does that mean if you think about it too much, you’ll repell it?
Now, the one piece of information that I lately found made it all make sense to me. And now that I know this, all the other information fits right in there, which is why I want to share it, in case you’re confused too.
The simple basic principle of manifesting
“The only word the universe knows, is yes”. That’s it, actually. And this means that if you say ‘My life is hard, the universe will confirm this, and deliver you hard situations that will reinforce your belief about having a hard life.
The thing is, you’ll need to develop an identity for yourself. The problem with that is just that usually, the acts that form the identity come first.
Identity first, actions second
You buy the nice clothes and then you call yourself fashionable, you earn the money and then you call yourself wealthy. You buy an apartment and then you tell your friends about it, you get engaged and then you get married. And only then you can call yourself a wife.
The thing now with manifesting is that you have to adapt the identity first and then go outwards. You call yourself wealthy, educated, beautiful, successful, a partner, a parent. And the universe will then say ‘yes’ to it.
I have written before that Dr. Joe Dispenza taught me that an effective practice to attract something into your life is take on a character that you want to identify with and then walk down the street thinking you are just that person. And to me, this all make sense now. If you think of yourself to be attractive, you’ll actually be more aware of the fact that people notice your looks.
Look around and perceive
One of the reasons I was loosing trust in manifestation a little is because my blog didn’t grow as fast as I thought it would. But then a little while ago I then realized something. I was having a little crisis. Most of the people in my circle graduated, got a job, started earning money, got a car, got an apartment, got a boyfriend. And I felt left behind, knowing that it will take me at least another year to graduate. At that point I was also dating unsuccessfully for two years, not thinking it will happen any time soon for me to find a partner.
And as I’m writing this I’m actually aware of how fast things can happen without us really realizing. I do have job now, earning some money on the side, I could fill a book with the blogs I wrote, I will soon graduate university, I started applying for jobs, I do have a partner and I also have a car now. It’s a Fiat and not a Porsche like I wanted but the point is that things do happen for us. And there is always room to improve. But that’s what the future is for. Your salary could always be higher, your apartment could be bigger, you could travel more, visiting more countries, etc.
It’s just so important to once in a while stop, look around, realize what you have achieved already, appreciate what’s in your life and then keep manifesting. If you don’t see the blessings in your life, the energy you give off is then lack, and that’s what you’ll attract more of.
Stop ‘wanting’
And by the way, if you ever try to manifest something saying ‘I want to live in city x, I want to earn x amount of money, I want to drive x car’ the universe will respond with ‘Yes, you want to’, and you’ll keep wanting. And not having.
I hope, the point I tried to bring across made sense. You won’t attract what you want, but what you are. And at the end of the day it’s always the energy you give off, which is born off of your thoughts, words and attitudes.
See you next time. Love, Valentina <3
