Spiritual relationships – This is what your relationships mean

We all have a spiritual family. Yet, it might not be the same family you have right now. Photo: Pexels

Have you ever wondered who exactly the people in your life are that you have spiritual relationships with? Your family? Your friends? Partner? Kids? Neighbors? Boss and work colleagues? Class mates? What does it mean if you get born into a broken family? What do soulmates have to do with that?

In other words: What do the people in your life say about you? Your life, your journey as a soul and how do they influence your growth? Here, I try to answer all of that.

We come together to this earth

In “Journey of Souls” this was explained in detail. We have a soul circle, consisting of our closest friends in the spirit world, our spiritual home.

Before we get born we get to choose what kind of lives we want to live in order to be able to ensure that we get approximately those experiences we need for our maximum amount of learning in this brief humane life. We choose a body we want to inhabit.

Our soul friends then often decide to incarnate into bodies that will be close to yours, so that we will find each other while living this life. This means that usually, the people closest to you are souls that are well familiar.

Not only do you know them very well, but you will also live several lives on their side. And you’ll see them again when you die.

They play many roles, in many lifetimes

This is a crucial thing to understand: Someone who is your lover right now could have been a parent before, a child in the life before that, a sibling even earlier on and a close friend in the next life.

There is nothing weird about that since souls aren’t related to one another. Souls are energy. They attract and repel each other. Having certain souls you feel closer to only means that this attraction is strong and mutual.

As souls, we choose to reincarnate in different roles to allow us and the souls close to us a range of different experiences. It’s like a gift we make each other. By the way, ‘being close’ doesn’t always mean getting along.

This will be my next strong point. Sometimes, we teach each other things through painful acts. But the bigger purpose behind that is one of goodwill, as it will bring you further in your growth.

Soul contracts

Now, if you have a very difficult relationship with someone – usually that happens with parents – that usually means that you have soul contracts with them that ensure deep and meaningful lessons through each other’s actions that might stem from past lifetimes.

In an example of Dr. Michael Newton’s, a man was abandoned by his mother as a baby which altered his entire relationship with the world. She was the evil one and he suffered because of her. Such things happen often in families.

It turned out however, that in a different lifetime he was a king who ordered her to be executed as a punishment. So, to teach him what it is like to be rejected by a family member in this cruel kind of way he needed something as hurtful as being abandoned to understand what kind of pain she went through.

Also, there still was an unresolved issue between the two souls – him ordering her death – that needed to be resolved. In other words, karma still had to be applied. Of course, usually the circumstances aren’t that extreme.

But the thing is, we never know what went on in lives before this one. And so, if you have a difficult relationship with someone in your life, it’s likely stemming from a karmic bond from a previous lifetime that still needs to be resolved.

The bigger meaning below the surface

Usually, there have been made agreements between two or several souls. Not getting along with someone doesn’t mean that you two are enemies.

As there lies a bigger purpose behind our earthly experiences that mostly are hidden to us, it is well possible that people – souls with whom we have spiritual relationships with – agree to be the “bad guys” in our lives in order to grant us what we really ned – experiences, lessons, growth.

And sometimes, unresolved issues can get carried through various lifetimes. We might need a second or third attempt to resolve them. But when we die, and we gather at home – the spirit world – we always understand what that bigger purpose was. And we won’t let earthly experiences get between the ‘relationships’ we have with other souls that are close to us.

Concluding…

So, what am I really trying to say? It is absolutely normal to have people you don’t really get along with that well. However, if you have someone in your life that could alter your quality of life or influence it immensely, it is likely that you have a stronger relationship with that soul.

Before you came to earth, you agreed to meet each other under these (difficult) circumstances. That way you can resolve an issue and learn from it and in the end, get great value from that experience.

It could be interesting to go have a spiritual reading done. It’ll help understand better why that person is who they are to you and what the bigger purpose is behind you having them in your life.

Interesting, no? If you’re eager to learn more about such spiritual constellations on earth and at home – in the spirit world – I warmly encourage you to read “Journey of Souls”. In no other book have I learned as much about spirituality as in this one. Let me know what you thought of it if you’ve read it 🙂
